We want to create a safe place in the community which will provide a vibrant environment, locally sourced fair-trade goods and a platform for job training, economy support and employment to deserving men and women in Brazil.
We believe that this will be a vital piece that creates an empowering environment for men and women that grow up in our home to have a safe space to learn, to work and to be productive members of society. Here at the LUZ Café, we plan to teach culinary classes, business management classes, provide employment to those that wish to work in the fields we offer and create stimulation in the economy.
The goods that we sell at the LUZ Café will be sourced from our LUZ Agriculture & Outreach Center or they will be good quality, fair trade goods that we carefully select and source which are aligned with the values and mission of LUZ Ministries. The sales of these goods will further our efforts to provide prevention, rescue and rehabilitation to communities that are most affected and at-risk of human trafficking in several ways:
Creating an atmosphere to learn vocational skills.
Cultivating leadership skills.
Creating stable jobs in the community.
Stimulating the local economy.
Providing profit to pour back into initiatives & projects at LUZ.

We want the young men and women in our care to have a safe place to learn valuable job skills, understand what it means to have healthy employment and have the first-hand learning opportunities to work, save money and provide for themselves and their families and we believe that the LUZ Café will make this possible in the most efficient, effective and supportive way of these young people.
